How do I get paid?+
Once approved, you'll connect a Stripe account in two minutes. Every time a customer you referred pays for our service, the referral fee transfers to your account automatically — no invoicing, no chasing.
Will I get a tax form?+
Yes. Stripe handles 1099-K reporting automatically once your annual payouts cross the IRS threshold. We don't issue separate 1099-NECs — Stripe's reporting is the system of record.
Can I use a custom referral URL like /diary or /my-podcast?+
Yes. After approval you can claim a custom slug (e.g. secondappraisal.com/diary) as long as it doesn't conflict with our existing routes or another partner's slug. We also support shorter 3-character codes if you want something pocket-printable.
Is this exclusive? Can I refer to other appraisal services too?+
Non-exclusive. Refer wherever you'd like — we just pay you for the customers who choose SecondAppraisal.
What if a customer I sent doesn't end up paying?+
No problem. The referral fee only fires once a customer authorizes payment and we deliver their valuation report. You aren't charged if they bail mid-funnel.
Who's NOT a good fit for this program?+
Anyone running incentivized-traffic schemes (paid clicks, fake reviews, social-engineering tactics). We screen every application and we'll close any account that violates our usage guidelines.
How long does approval take?+
Most applications are reviewed within a few business days. There's no fixed deadline — we'll email you when your decision is ready.
